The second Annual Review of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service will be held in Glasgow this week (16 July).
The event will be hosted by Minister for Community Safety, Paul Wheelhouse and is open to the public.
It will give members of the community the opportunity to ask the Fire Board questions about their performance over the past year.
Mr Wheelhouse said: “This meeting is an opportunity for Scottish Government and members of the public to review the performance of our new national fire and rescue service now we’re two years into the single service.
“It is an excellent opportunity for the service to update members of the public on the work that has been done and also gives our communities the chance to direct questions to the Board on matters which are important to them.”
Pat Watters, Chair of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) Board, said: “I look forward to providing an update on the activities of SFRS in our second year operating as a national service.
“I would encourage the public to come along and hear more from the Service and ask any questions they may have of our performance in the last year.”
The Annual Review Meeting is to be held on Thursday 16 July at the Trades Hall, Glassford Street, Glasgow between 10am – 12 midday.
