A NEW exhibition from a Scottish artist will explore the ever-changing weather conditions and natural light of Aberdeenshire.
The landscapes, by Bryan Angus, will be shown for the first time in a new exhibition at Duff House, in Banff from Saturday 18th July.
Angus’ work shows local coastal life, the landscape and its surroundings, with many of his pieces drawing inspiration from the small fishing villages and towns of Banff, Gardenstown, Macduff and Cullen.
The exhibition will use different galleries to show two stylistic approaches to the coastal landscape.
Whilst one gallery will feature scenes in brightly coloured paint and pastel, the other will see the same subject matter explored through lino printing.
Mr Angus said: “The works included in this new exhibition have been created to demonstrate the beauty and quality of natural light this region of Scotland benefits from at a particular time of year, whilst capturing the dramatic local coastal landscape.”
The exhibition will last seven weeks.
It opens to the public on Saturday 18th July, and will run until Sunday 30th August 2015.
