£20m Silverburn shopping centre extension completed

A £20m leisure extension has just been completed at Silverburn shopping centre.

Included in the massive new development is a 14-screen Cineworld and 11 new restaurants.

The celebrate the extension more than £2,000 of food prizes will be gifted to shoppers as part of a ‘Meal’ of Fortune style game show hosted by TV presenter Josie Smith.

A three three day event, which will run from today (Friday), will also include themed performances as well as face painting and food tastings.

Silverburn General Manager David Pierotti said, “It’s been an incredible couple of years, and lots of hard work, to get us to where we are today.”

He added: “We’re now 10,700m2 bigger, with eleven new dining options, 14-cinema screens and a stunning public realm space.”
