ANDY Murray has described his withdrawal from the tennis French Open as a “bad dream” – while his mum continues to lust after his healthy rivals.
Two days after pulling out of the French Open with a back injury, the disappointed Scots tennis champ tweeted to his 1.5million followers that he was finding it “tough”.
Murray, who was tweeting as players’ names were drawn for this years competition, wrote yesterday (fri) : “Tough to wake up on the day of the draw for a slam and not be in it! Was hoping it was a bad dream #reality.”
But despite dozens of sympathetic tweets gushing in from well-wishers around the world, it seems his tennis coach mum Judy Murray had other things on her mind.
She posted pictures of a topless French player and lusting over men wearing kilts.
Judy Murray, who has form for her saucy tweeting, re-posted a topless picture of tennis player Feliciano Lopez, who she previously described as ‘Deliciano’, writing: “mon dieu” – which means ‘my god’ in French.
She also spoke of her delight after watching the National Ballet’s performance of the ‘Highland Fling’ writing to one follower: “Real men wear kilts… and tan coloured leather jackets J x”
Judy labelled his tennis rival Feliciano Lopez “Deliciano” at Wimbledon two years ago.
The tweets prompted Murray, who went on to beat Lopez in the quarter final, to say it was “about time she stopped with that nonsense.”
Some of Andy Murray’s followers yesterday (fri) seemed more sympathetic to his back injury.
One follower, calling themselves “Andy Murray fan” wrote: “Keep your chin up Andy – just focus on how much better it will be to play without pain when you return to the tour.”
Angelina Rowntree added: “That must be so hard, hope you recover soon, and come back stronger than ever x”
His back injury means Murray will miss a grand slam tournament for the first time since 2007.
Last week Andy Murray thanked fans for their ongoing support following the tournament.
He wrote: “Thanks a lot for all the messages of support…seeing specialists on Monday and Tuesday… Will let you know how it goes.”
Last year Judy said tennis champ Goran Ivanisevic smelled “Rather like a decent shiraz” in an online chat with sports TV presenter Claire Balding.
Judy also wrote a number of tweets about tennis player Guy Forget after spotting him during the French Open in Paris last year.
She wrote: “Things are looking up in the player café. Guy Forget dans la maison. He is Monsieur Unconventional Chic.
“Short shorts in the most elegant legs. Mmmmm.”
