FAMILIES in Moray have been left “distressed” after vandals toppled gravestones in an Elgin cemetery.
Several markers were overturned at Elgin Cemetery between Friday 4 and Saturday 5 May.
Grampian Police Investigating officer PC Kenny MacConnachie said: ”Elgin Cemetery is a well-maintained cemetery and this is a rare occurrence. This is extremely distressing to the families who care and tend to these graves and as such I am very keen to trace those who are responsible.”
