At Glasgow Sheriff Court yesterday, a Confiscation Order for £7,240 was made against 28-year-old Christopher Quinn.
Quinn, a self-employed detailer from Glasgow, had previously pled guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine. He was sentenced to 682 days’ imprisonment.
Lindsey Miller, Head of the Serious and Organised Crime Division (SOCD) and the current POCA champion, said:
Christopher Quinn previously pled guilty to supplying cocaine.
“Christopher Quinn confessed to police that he was involved in drug dealing after they found bags of cocaine and drug dealing items in his Glasgow flat.
“Drug dealers should expect to be deprived of their criminal benefit via the Proceeds of Crime Act.
“We are committed to using this powerful legislation at every opportunity, to cause maximum disruption to criminals who benefit financially from crime.
“The money confiscated from Christopher Quinn will be added to the £44 million already invested in the CashBack for Communities programme in this way.”
