Police release CCTV in £1million firebug hunt

POLICE in Fife investigating a deliberate fire which caused £1 million of damage at the Tullis Russell paper mill in Glenrothes last December have released CCTV images of people who may be able to help with their enquiries.

The company has also put up a reward of £3,000 which is subject to the information leading to an arrest and subsequent conviction.

The CCTV images were captured at Glenrothes Bus Station in the early hours of December 27, 2011.

Despite previous appeals, no independent witnesses have come forward to help the dedicated team who have been investigating this deliberate attack since it happened.

Officers are particularly keen to trace the man and woman shown in the CCTV footage whom they believe may have information about the possible identity of the person responsible for this incident.

Community Inspector Brian Henderson, based at Glenrothes, said: “We are particularly keen to identify the two people appearing in the CCTV footage, as believe they may be able to help us solve this investigation. I would urge anyone who has any information about them or this incident to call us on 0845 600 5702 or through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 1111”.
