A SHOPKEEPER was robbed at knifepoint for alcohol, money and cigarettes.
Two men walked into the Sighthill General Store, Edinburgh at around 7pm on Tuesday night.
One barred the door, while the other approached the shopkeeper and threatened him with a knife.
They escaped with a small sum of cash, alcohol, and cigarettes, and were last seen making off down Sighthill View, passing Sighthill Loan and heading towards Sighthill Drive.
A police spokesman said: “While the victim was not harmed, he was left understandably shaken after being violently threatened at knifepoint.
“We want anyone who was in the area of the shop around the time of the robbery, who noticed two men acting suspiciously, to contact police immediately.
“Similarly, anyone who recognises their descriptions, or who has any other information that can help our inquiries, should also get in touch.”
Both suspects are described as white, and in their 20s. Both spoke with local accents.
The first man is described as 5ft 1ins to 5ft 7ins tall, medium to heavy build, and wearing a black hooded top with white panel on the front, black tracksuit bottoms, and dark gloves.
The second suspect is described as 6ft 2ins tall, medium build, and wearing a black hooded top, black Adidas tracksuit bottoms with three stripes, and cream gloves.
