A NEW community officer has been unveiled for Bridge of Allan.
Constable Emma Roxburgh will replace Mark Hutcheon who has moved to the Scottish Police College in Tulliallan.
Constable Roxburgh said: “I have been in the force for almost eight years and I have worked in Stirling, Bannockburn and the domestic abuse unit at Falkirk. I have been at Bridge of Allan and Dunblane for two years and I am looking forward to being the community officer for Bridge of Allan.
“I am keen to get into the community and work with them to address their concerns and to build on the work already carried out by Constable Hutcheon.”
Community Policing Sergeant Will Hogg said: “Constable Roxburgh is an experienced officer who has spent the last three years working within Dunblane and Bridge of Allan so I am sure she will settle into her new role quickly and become a valuable member of the community team.”
DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY POLICE
A QUAD bike rider has been injured after he collided with another rider at a Thornhill farm.
The accident, between a red machine and a green one happened at around 8.45am yesterday (thurs).
The 43-year-old, who was on the red quad bike and is local to the area, was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for treatment where he remains in a stable condition.
The 36-year-old rider of the green quad bike was unharmed.
THE soft top roof of a blue coloured BMW that was parked on Station Yard, Castle Douglas was damaged sometime between Tuesday, September 13 and Sunday, September 18.
A PRANKSTER who covered the doors of three homes in Kelloholm with glue is being hunted by police.
Two properties, on Kirkland Drive, were attacked sometime between 11.30pm yesterday and 3.45am this morning (fri).
Another home in Sandyknowe was attacked at around the same time.

A MAN was assaulted on Aberdeen’s Roslin Street.
The 20 year old victim sustained a facial injury which required treatment at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have seen two males and a female in the area around this time.
The two males are described as being aged between 18-25 years old, both about 5ft 8inches tall, medium build. One has short dark hair, the other has longer fair hair.
The female is described as being 18-25 years old, about 5ft 4inches tall, long shoulder length dark hair.
IN A second, unrelated, incident a man suffered a head injury after being assaulted in Aberdeen City Centre.
Two males were involved in a confrontation this morning (fri) on Little Chapel Street at around 3am, resulting in one man being assaulted.
The victim was later treated at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary before being released.
Police believe there was a female with one of the males.
POLICE are investigating a road accident which left a motorcyclist with serious injuries.
A 24-year-old man riding a blue and silver Honda bike collided with a black Mitsubishi Outlander, driven by a 35-year-old man, at around 3.30pm yesterday (thurs).
The accident occurred on the B977, near the Parkhill crossroads junction.
The motorcyclist was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary suffering from serious leg injuries.The road was closed for six hours while collision investigators carried out a detailed examination of the scene.

A SPEEDING vehicle was found to contain £1600 of cannabis after being stopped by police.
The motorist was stopped on Grampian Road in Aviemore at 4.10pm yesterday (thurs).
A 41-year-old man and a 30-year-old man are expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court today in connection with alleged offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A MAN has gone missing from his Inverness home.
David Matheson, has not been seen since September 18.
He is 27-year-old and is described as being 5ft 9ins, of slim build, with short fair brown hair.
He has teardrop tattoos under his eyes and further tattoos on his neck. David was last seen wearing a red jacket and black track suit bottoms.
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a suspicious fire was reported at three adjoining garages in Bruce Avenue, Inverness last night.
The fire, which spread between the three garages destroying some household appliances and furniture inside, happened sometime around 22.50 last night.
Police are appealing for information from the public who may have seen a vehicle or anyone acting suspiciously in that area anytime prior to the fire.
POLICE are looking for dark blue Citroen Xsara that was stolen the Pier at Gairloch in the early hours of Saturday, September 17.
The car’s registration number is SC51 PLZ.
TAYSIDE POLICE
POLICE are hunting a man who got into the car of an elderly woman as she tried to leave the multi-storey car park in Perth.
The 82-year-old had returned to her car after a night out and, as she made to exit the Kinnoull Street car park, she stopped to allow pedestrians to pass by in front of her.
As she did so a man in his mid 40s to mid 50s stared at her and then opened a passenger door and sat in the back of her car. He remonstrated with her and refused to leave, so the woman sounded her car horn. Passers-by came to see if she was okay and the man, complained, but left the car.
Shocked but unharmed the woman drove away.
Her unwelcome passenger is described as being five feet eight inches tall, slim, with long dark brown hair and a Scottish accent. At the time he wore dark clothing and was carrying a grey two-tone rucksack.
A VIOLENT convict who failed to return to prison is being hunted by police.
A SATNAV has been stolen from a car in Forfar.
The device was taken from a grey Kia Ceed which was broken into some time between 11pm on Tuesday, September 20 and 6.15am on Wednesday, September 21.
The vehicle was parked at Balmadies, Guthrie, at the time.
A black Peugeot 207 was broken into around the same time, although nothing appears to have been stolen
OFFICERS in Angus are also investigating a sneak-in and attempted theft from a house in Monifeith’s Rattray Street, some time between 12.10am and 2.40am on Wednesday.
A dog barking woke the householder and they discovered that someone had been in their home, although nothing appeared to have been taken.
A VALUABLE BMX bike has been stolen from a Dundee supermarket.
The bright red Raleigh BMX had been left at the staff entrance Asda’s Milton of Craigie store for a five minutes in the early hours of this morning (Fri).
When the owner returned the £600 bike had vanished.
Officers want to trace a man who was seen acting suspiciously in the area at the time of the incident. He’s aged between 18 and 25-years-old, slim, with short dark brown hair. At the time he wore an emerald green Adidas hooded top and black or navy jeans.
POLICE are looking to speak to two youths who helped a pensioner after she was mugged.
The 64-year-old woman was walking in Fintry Road and was at its junction with Finella Gardens at about 9.10am on Friday, September 16, when a man approached her from behind and attempted to snatch her handbag.
She resisted and called for help and, as she did so, the man ran off empty handed eastwards in Finella Gardens.
Two youths – a boy and a girl – came to assist the woman, who was shocked but otherwise uninjured.
