TWO people have appeared in court in connection with the murder of a 43-year-old man at a block of high-rise flats in the Gilmerton area of Edinburgh.
William McArdle, 24, and 19-year-old Chanelle Barrett appeared on petition at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today (Fri) following the death of William McPhee.
The pair were also charged with attempted murder after the stabbing of a second 41-year-old man on the same evening.
Both made no plea or declaration and were remanded in custody until their next court appearance in one week.
Detectives were first called to investigate the incident at Castleview House on Tuesday night.
They found Mr McPhee’s body at the address before the other man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with stab wounds.
