A CYCLIST had to be taken to hospital after he was knocked down by a car in Edinburgh.
The cyclist was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with what was thought to be a minor wrist injury.
The accident took place on Telford Road in the city at around 7.25 this morning (Tue).
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We attended a road traffic accident on Telford Road in Edinburgh near McDonalds where a car struck a cyclist at 07.26.
“An ambulance was on scene and took the casualty to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.”
