A 13-year-old girl jumped from a bedroom window to escape a fire at a house in Bathgate.
The teenager jumped from the window onto a garage roof and climbed down to safety after flames broke out at the home in Anne Street at around 8am yesterday (Sun).
She was checked over by ambulance crews but did not require to go to hospital.
A spokeswoman for Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue said: “We were called to a fire at a home in Bathgate at 8.06am.
“A 13-year-old female jumped from a bedroom window and onto a garage roof and climbed down.
“She was checked over by ambulance crews at the scene but didn’t need to go to hospital.
“No-one else was involved.
“One high pressure hose reel and two breathing apparatus were used.”
