THE world’s only all-female formation wing-walking team are getting set to jet into Scotland this weekend.
The death defying ladies of Team Breitling will strut their stuff on the wings of a Boeing Stearman plane at up to 150mph.
They will be joined by a Supermarine Spitfire in the skies above East Lothian in the National Museum of Flight’s annual airshow.
The historic aircraft has been picked to mark the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, in which it played a vital defence role.
Visitors will have the chance to get up close and personal with a replica Spitfire on loan from the Imperial War Museum in the show’s military hangar.
Other aircraft flying in on Saturday include the Hawk and Hunter jets, an historic RAF Dakota, Starduster and Tiger Moth biplanes and the aerobatic Pitts Special.
A limited number of boarding passes for supersonic icon Concorde will also be available on the day.
Grant MacKenzie, General Manager at the National Museum of Flight said: “The airshow isn’t just about the displays in the air as we have lots of activity on-the-ground to keep people entertained.
“There’s a mix of family fun, aviation history and science and we’ve also included some local musicians to add to the atmosphere on the day.”
