TWO men have been arrested in connection with a drug empire worth millions, which spanned across three areas of central Scotland.
The men, aged 28 and 29, were charged with offences in relation to a drugs cultivation operation with an estimated street value of £3.6m.
Police Scotland officers executed warrants in Falkirk on Monday, arresting the men in connection with organised crime in the process.
The men are charged in connection with a number of cannabis cultivations which were discovered in Livingston, Edinburgh, West Calder and Falkirk.
Between the four grows the cultivation operation was estimated to have a seven-figure street value.
Alongside the grows, £80,000 worth of cannabis was recovered in the operation and a further £12,000 in cash.
The men will appear in court at a later date charged in connection with the cannabis grows across central Scotland.
Detective sergeant John Irvine said: “We remain committed to targeting those involved in serious and organised crime in Scotland as we recognise the impact this has on our local communities.
“Disrupting large-scale cannabis cultivations prevents illegal drugs being circulated on our streets.
“This action reiterates our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
