A FOOTY fan has been left red-faced after complaining about the “severely restricted view” at Crystal Palace’s stadium – despite being warned about it on his ticket.
Will Brooks was at Selhurst Park on Saturday watching his side Fulham play the Eagles in a Premier League clash, where he had explicitly paid for a restricted view of the pitch.
Despite being aware of this fact, the Cottagers fan was quick to take to social media and slam the club for still charging the full ticket price of £28 for a view that was entirely blocked by a metal pillar.
Fellow fans were unsympathetic, panning him for not considering the meaning of the word “severely”, and that he didn’t have a leg to stand on in his complaint.
Will shared footage of his point of view from his seat – or lack thereof.
A rusty metal pillar sits right in the middle of what would be his view, blocking him from seeing most of the pitch, and the fans chanting in front of him.
He also shared a snap of his ticket, bearing the warning of a “severely restricted view”, and another of him trying to peer round the pillar to try and see some of the action.
Will has slammed Crystal Palace, keen to share his opinion that the club shouldn’t even bother selling tickets for the three seats around the pillar.
He posted his rant to social media on Saturday with the caption: “This is a ‘Severely Restricted View’ at Crystal Palace.
“‘Severely’ is an understatement. At least three seats should not be sold, let alone at full price with no reduction.”
It has since received over 450 likes and more than 90 comments from amused fans quick to ridicule him.
One joked: “How dare they restrict your view in the severely restricted view seat?”
Another agreed: “Almost as if they told you it’s a severely restricted view.
“Just stand up and peek either side of it not the end of the world, would hate to have a season ticket there though.”
A third said: “Suggest not being a tighta**e and buying a ticket without restricted view. You get what you pay for.”
Another wrote: “They sell them because prats like you will buy them. Imagine buying a severely restricted view ticket and then complaining about a severely restricted view.”
A fifth quipped: “Has to be better than actually watching the football at the moment?”
