Cheeky Scot spotted pouring pint from “self-service street bar” – a keg left on the pavement

A CHEEKY Scot was spotted pouring a pint from an impromptu “self-service street bar” in an alleyway in Glasgow – a keg left on the pavement.

The bloke was spotted on Monday on Wellington Lane in the city centre by a workie in a building opposite.

Surrounded by a random collection of beer kegs, he can be seen pouring from the top of one, which seem to have been left outside of a hotel.

However, Scots on social media have speculated he has set himself up for disappointment, believing he will either get a mouthful of flat beer or barrel cleaner.

The man, wearing a black coat and grey tracksuit bottoms, can be seen standing next to three metal kegs on the pavement.

A tall bottle, which appears to already be full of beer, sits next to a bag behind him.

He steps in front of the middle barrel before tapping the top and tilting it towards him.

He holds a cup in front of the opening at the top, where a line and tap would normally be inserted to add pressure.

Having managed to seemingly pour himself a drink from his makeshift bar, he starts wandering off.

The clip was shared to social media on Monday with the caption: “Self-service street bar, Wellington Lane.”

It has since received over 1,700 likes and more than 110 comments from amused Scots sharing their reactions.

One said: “On you go, fill your boots pal, that’s how you do it in Glasgow.”

A second joked: “Probably full of cleaning fluid. If it’s blue, it’s going right through you.”

Another wrote: “It’ll be flat. CO2 is added in the line at the pub.

“Found this out the hard way when me and my pal procured a barrel of beer from a brewery, we rolled it down the road only to find it’s flat.”

A fourth commented: “Fair play to the wee man, but how did nobody just buy him a pint? Sad.”

Another quipped: “Land of possibilities.”
