FIFE-based firm Advanced Traditional Screeding (ATS) has acquired a second Transmix truck, expanding its capacity for large-scale projects across the UK.
The specialist in flooring solutions has invested £300,000 in the 44-tonne German-made Putzmeister truck, allowing it to enhance its offerings from its Rosyth headquarters.
The new vehicle will allow ATS to deliver up to 100 cubic metres of thermal lightweight aggregate (TLA), a non-combustible, sustainable material, daily.
This addition strengthens ATS’s position as Scotland’s leading TLA provider, offering an energy-efficient alternative to traditional insulation materials.
With this expanded capacity and a dedication to sustainable innovation, ATS is well-positioned to meet increasing demand across Scotland and beyond.
This sets the firm up for further growth in the new year.

ATS was founded in 2014 and has been part of Northern Ireland-based energystore since June 2024.
It is the exclusive Scottish installer of top brands including Flowcrete, Vebro, and Cemfloor by McGraths.
The firm’s first Transmix truck, acquired in 2022, is now primarily deployed for Cemfloor and thin-section screed deliveries.
The new truck will allow ATS to expand TLA services for large-scale projects.
This latest acquisition follows ATS’s achievement last year as Scotland’s first Kiwa UK-approved installer of energystore TLA.
Both vehicles are now subject to regular quality inspections by Kiwa to ensure consistent standards.
Lister added: “The Transmix’s on-site mixing capability is also a notable advantage for ATS.
“We can schedule large-scale pours of insulation and screed at times that suit the projects and demands of the site.
“They are completed quickly with better quality control, which is another big plus.
“The trucks keep waste to a minimum as they allow us to mix to order on project sites, without the need for delivery by multiple trucks.”
