Scottish law firm promotes new partner to corporate team

BTO has announced the promotion of Michael Cox to partner in the firm’s corporate team in Edinburgh.

In his new role, Michael will continue to focus on all aspects of corporate law in the Scottish firm, with a specialism in mergers and acquisitions.

He brings impressive experience from numerous high-profile corporate deals and has recently acted for several of BTO’s clients in the charities sector.

His promotion is expected to bring new energy and strategic direction to BTO’s corporate team, bolstering its position in Edinburgh and supporting the firm’s growth ambitions.

His positivity and sense of humour are welcomed by clients and colleagues alike at every stage of the process.

Expressing his enthusiasm for his new role, Cox said: “I am pleased to be joining the partnership at what feels like an exciting time.

“My primary aims will be to help shape BTO’s corporate offering in Edinburgh, to support existing and new clients, and to assist in driving the firm’s strategy for growth.”
