Scots company turn to experience with non-exec appointment

A SCOTS packaging company have announced the appointment of a former CEO with experience in listed companies as a non-executive director.

Macfarlane Group PLC has announced the appointment of David Stirling, who recently retired as Group CEO of Zotefoams plc.

Zotefoams manufacture cellular specialist materials and are also listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Stirling spent 24 years as CEO, overseeing the the business’ expansion in products and investment in new sites in Europe, North America and Asia.

Stirling trained as a Chartered Accountant in Scotland, undertaking overseas assignments with PwC, before joining Zotefoams as finance director in 1997.

The Macfarlane Group are also listed on the London Stock Exchange, currently trading at 126.38 a share, up just over 19% for the year.
