Scots left in stitches after menu found in Ibrox-themed Turkish bar honours Rangers “legends” with their very own cocktails

SCOTS have been left in stitches after an Ibrox-themed Turkish bar’s menu honoured Rangers “legends” with a host of cocktails named after them.

The Ibrox Bar in Marmaris, Turkey had a photo of its menu shared to social media by a holidaying Scot yesterday.

The snap of the menu left social media users in stitches with a whole page of the drink selections named after players and figures integral to Rangers’ history.

The long list of cocktails on offer includes drinks named after the likes of Ally McCoist, Paul Gascoigne and even King William III – popularly known as King Billy.

The menu page, adorned in blue trim with a photo of Ibrox at the top, is titled: “In memory of legends.”

The list of ten “legends” includes King Billy, Jim Baxter, Davie Cooper, John Greig, Ally McCoist, Paul Gascoigne, Brian Laudrup, Jimmy Bell, George Albertz and Fernando Ricksen.

Each of the former Rangers players listed has a specialty cocktail mixed in their honour, with several of the drinks daubed with red and blue colours as a result of curacao and grenadine.

Each of the cocktails on offer will cost punters 220 Turkish Lira which is roughly £5 per drink.

Paul Gascoigne’s drink is a boozy mix of vodka, Malibu rum, Archers peach schnapps, Tia Maria, tequila, rum, gin, amaretto, orange juice and grenadine.

Meanwhile, the “King Billy” is a simple mix of vodka, fresh orange and grenadine whilst Ally McCoist can take pride in knowing his dedicated drink boasts vodka, brandy, Safari liqueur and cherry juice.

The snap of the menu was shared to social media yesterday with the caption: “Got a friend in Marmaris in Turkey on holiday.

“They went to the Ibrox Bar. This is the menu. True story.”

The post received over 770 likes and more than 165 comments from social media users left in stitches by the hilarious menu.

One user said: “Should have a Todd Cantwell as very bitter but goes down easily. And I’m a Rangers fan before anyone starts biting.”

Another joked: “They have missed a trick, should have charged 1690 lira for everything and the gullabillies would have lapped it up.”

A third wrote: “Aw that’s screaming for a Lorenzo Amoruso with amaretto in it.”

Another commented: “I feel that Cooper and McCoist are just not staunch enough. No orange juice or blue curaçao.”

A fifth replied: “Not one of the above with a Champions League winners medal. Clearly a down-market establishment.”
