England footy fan hounded by fellow supporters after being forced to sport Scotland shirt as part of cruel forfeit

AN ENGLISH football fan was spotted and hounded by fellow supporters after being forced to sport a Scotland shirt as part of a cruel forfeit.

The fan was caught on camera looking out of place at the England vs Denmark game in Frankfurt last Thursday clad in a Scottish shirt, a kilt and a traditional tam o’ shanter cap.

Initially spotted wandering the terraces at the Deutsche Bank Park stadium, the bloke was then later seen lapping up boos from fellow England fans in Frankfurt’s city square where he was forced to dodge thrown pint cups.

It was later revealed the poor chap had been put up to the act by his pals after coming last in their Fantasy Premier League (FPL) group last season.

Video shows the England fan wandering past rows of seats at the stadium, looking somewhat sheepish as he passes by a wall of flags sporting the St George’s cross

One fan looks on in bewilderment, chuckling to himself as the apparent Scotsman walks past him unfazed.

Wearing the Scotland shirt, a red kilt and the tartan tam o’ shanter bonnet with a ginger wig attached, the bloke’s get-up is given the finishing touch of the name “McS**tAtFPL” and the number eight on the back of his top.

A second video shows the man standing on the edge of a fountain in the city’s Römerberg Square, surrounded by hordes of England fans.

He waves his arms to noise up the crowd goading them on as they respond with loud jeering as a beer can is thrown and appears to make contact with his head.

Shrugging it off, the man starts to stride around the fountain as the fans get louder and more drinks and another can are thrown in his direction.

They can be heard chanting, “Scotland get battered everywhere they go” as the man climbs down from his impromptu stage with a grin on his face.

The initial video was shared to social media yesterday with the caption: “This fella at the England vs Denmark game on Thursday was forced to go to the game in a full Scotland kit as a forfeit for finishing last in his mates’ fantasy football group…”

The clip has since received over 16,000 likes and more than 180 comments from users quick to chip in with their own thoughts on the fan’s unfortunate forfeit.

One bluntly said: “I’d rather drink p**s than put on anything other than a Newcastle top or an England top.”

Another commented: “I don’t know what’s worse, him wearing the top or his mates taking him to watch that game”.

A third added: “Would have been worse if he didn’t wear all the clown stuff and just had McGinn on his shirt, so he looked like an actual fan”.

Another wrote: “Justifiable as long as he doesn’t have to eat haggis.”

In response to the video of the abuse he received, the fan identified himself online to the admiration of the user who filmed him, who said: “You took that can to the head well mate”.

The fan responded in good spirits, joking: “To be honest I was that p***ed that I didn’t really notice.”
