Major delays after lorry carrying recycling waste flips over on busy London street – covering road in rubbish

A LORRY has flipped over on a busy London street and spilled tons of recycling waste across the road, causing major delays.

The incident happened this morning on Hanger Lane in Ealing, West London, causing severe traffic delays in the area as the cleanup operation got underway.

A rescue operation involving numerous heavy lifting vehicles aiming to get the flipped lorry back on its wheels was captured on video by a passerby.

The crash, which left the street covered in discarded recyclables, saw the lorry tip over entirely onto its side, spilling its contents everywhere.

Video footage, captured by a member of the public, shows the flipped lorry surrounded by diggers, cranes and other heavy lifting vehicles as efforts are made to resolve the situation and get traffic moving.

The man recording the footage can be heard saying: “Oh s**t, somebody tipped their s**t.”

The road appears to be completely closed off while cleanup operations are underway with cars being blocked from entering but pedestrians seemingly walking past freely.

Workmen can be seen standing around in the footage as they try to figure out how to best address the messy situation.

It’s unclear at this stage whether anyone was hurt when the lorry flipped, with the driver being nowhere in sight.

The video footage of the cleanup operation and photos of the aftermath of the crash were shared to social media this morning.

The caption read: “A lorry containing recycling waste has flipped over on Hanger Lane, Park Royal today causing severe delays in West London.”

The post received dozens of likes and comments from social media users, some of whom joked at the expense of the flipped vehicle.

One user commented: “As if it’s not chaotic enough on a normal day.”

Another quipped: “Can’t park there mate.”
