A LONDON bus left a trail of chaos after the driver of the vehicle ploughed into a bus stop.
The E5 bus to Perivale, Greater London smashed into a bus shelter on the side of the road during its journey through Southall, West London on Saturday.
Horrifying footage shows the extent of the damage caused by the bus collision with both the bus stop and the front of the vehicle itself mangled and destroyed.
Video footage of the aftermath shows dozens of people milling around the crash site and recording with their phones.
The bus shelter’s corner pillar can be seen bent entirely out of shape, leaving the attached panes of glass smashed and scattered on the ground.
The entire structure of the shelter at the bus stop has been left mangled after the violent impact of the bus.
In the footage, the bus also bears significant damage, with its front end mangled.
Still jammed into the stop, the bus lies empty on the side of the road with its front bumper bent out of shape.
Police tape blocking off the scene can be seen in the video preventing bystanders from interfering with the site of the crash.
The crash was one of three incidents involving TfL (Transport for London) buses over the weekend with another bus catching fire and a third smashing into a house.
The footage of the crash was shared to social media on Saturday with the caption: “How has the bus driver managed to mess up this hard? Only in Southall.”
The video quickly received attention from stunned locals gathering more than 240 likes and 40 comments from social media users.
One user said: “Yesterday a bus drove into a house, today a bus stop, tomorrow will drive into a plane.”
A second added: “Must’ve been the weather yesterday… another one went through a house as well.”
A third wrote: “Been on a few buses recently. Nearly everyone went over the curb turning a corner. Where do they get their training?”
Another replied: “Can’t park there Dave.”
