Locals take action over stair cleaning debacle with hilariously unfiltered graffiti message to council calling them “c***s”

FED-UP locals have taken action after continuous pleas to the council went unheard with a large expletive protest.

Many claim that for weeks Brighton and Hove City Council were asked to clean the steps near to the train station before the action was taken and shared online yesterday.

After no action was taken though, one citizen has taken it upon themself to leave a final message for the council in the hopes they will be forced to clean it up – and perhaps also power wash the steps.

An image shows white graffiti placed strategically below the steps all in capital letters with grammatical accuracy.

The foul-mouthed demand reads: “Council, wash the stairs u (sic) c***s.”

However, whilst the person wanted to make clear their demand, they’ve placed the i and l of council very close together leading some online to wonder who “counck” is.

Whilst the steps appear to require a bit of a facelift, there isn’t too much rubbish positioned around the steps in Brighton, East Sussex.

The concrete steps appear murky in places and might benefit as the council clean up the feisty protest from one of their citizens.

The picture was shared to social media yesterday with the caption: “The pedestrian version of drivers painting a spunking c**k on a pothole to force them to do something.”

The post received over 1,100 likes with dozens of comments from social media users who were quick to offer their own views on the makeshift message.

One said: “Yeah counck, wash the stairs.”

Another added: “Should have written it on the actual stairs, you know the jobsworths will just clean the graffiti as stair cleaning is probably a different department to graffiti cleaning.”

A third commented: “What’s wrong with the stairs? All I see is litter, maybe show a better picture so we can tell if it needs washing or not.”

Another responded: “I’m more thrown off by the fact they put a comma after counck, implying a knowledge of when to use one, but then still used ‘u’ instead of ‘you’”.
