A HILARIOUS video shows a cabin crew member providing his own brand of in-flight entertainment – with an awkward rendition of an Ed Sheeran hit.
Ashleigh Webster was flying from Cambodia to Vietnam with AirAsia earlier this month when a brave flight crew member decided to offer his passengers some light entertainment for the short flight.
The male member of staff hilariously took to the front of the plane, using the intercom to belt out Ed Sheeran’s 2017 hit Perfect to rows of shocked passengers left in stitches.
Ashleigh’s video begins with her and a friend looking bored sitting in their seats on the flight, passing the time.
The on-screen text reads: “There was no in-flight entertainment on our flight from Cambodia to Vietnam, so the flight attendant said he’d performed [sic] for us.”
Ashleigh then flips the camera around as the member of cabin crew gently breaks into song, singing: “I found a girl for me.”
The crew member then becomes visible above over the chair in front and shows him holding the intercom phone as though it were a microphone.
He continues his ballad with his eyes shut singing: “Darling just jump right in, follow my lead, I found a girl beautiful and sweet.”
The man then hilariously begins to gently sway as he begins to sing the bridge of the song, chanting: “I never knew you were the someone waiting for me.
“We were just kids when we fell in love, not knowing what it was, I will not give you up this time.”
The man then raises his arm and sways it from side to side, looking for some crowd interaction from the passengers saying: “Come on, show me some hands.”
As the video comes to a close Ashleigh and fellow flyers begin to whoop their approval of the man’s singing effort to entertain the passengers.
Ashleigh shared the video to social media earlier this month writing: “I’ve never been so confused and so happy at once.”
The clip received over 178,000 likes with more than 1,900 comments from viewers who were left stunned by the flight attendant’s efforts to entertain.
One said: “This is so sweet, why is everyone so quiet, I would’ve been hyping that king up.”
Another added: “Best in-flight entertainment I’ve seen.”
A third replied: “OMG was not expecting this.”
Another added: “He’s the sweetest.”
A fifth commented: “Literally so much better than a movie.”
