Hilarious video shows Scots brickie’s reaction to wife putting up Christmas tree in November

A HILARIOUS video shows a Scots bricklayer’s reaction to his wife putting up their Christmas tree in November.

Chris O’Keeffe was less than impressed after he walked into his home in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire two weeks ago and spotted that his wife Sharlene had put up the tree whilst he was away.

Sharlene, 36, waited until Chris, 42, had gone out with friends to play golf before dusting off the Christmas decoration boxes and getting to work.

She dressed the tree up with bows and ornaments and filmed Chris’ hilarious reaction as he walked in the door to Slade’s Merry Christmas blasting out the speakers.

Video shows Chris carrying his golf clubs back into the house as carer Sharlene watches on, ready for his reaction.

Chris then walks in and straight away says: “F**k off,” as soon he sets his eyes on the lit-up tree in the corner.

He continues: “B*****d, get that to f**k.

“Get that to f**k, no f*****g way, get that to f*k.

“What did I say, I f*****g said all the way home that she would f*****g do that.”

Sharlene posted the video on social media earlier this month, writing: “When your husband goes to golf for the day, I bring some Christmas joy in November.”

The clip has since gained over 89,000 views and more than 2,600 likes.

Social media users were quick to comment on Chris’s side-splitting reaction to the tree in the family home.

Diane Gillies said: “I can’t stop watching this, honestly I knew he was going to flip.”

And Miranda Jayne Nowell simply said: “Belter.”

Speaking today, Sharlene said: “I decided on the day my husband was going to play golf that I would put up the tree as he always says it’s too early.

“He wants to put it up 12 days before Christmas but I took it upon myself to put the tree up.

“His cousin and friend both knew it was going up as I had previously told them so they were singing Christmas songs throughout the day at golf.

“That’s why he said he knew it was going to happen but he still can’t believe that I put the tree up.

“A courier delivering parcels the other day said to us ‘is that your tree up already’ but Chris just said don’t even ask.”

According to tradition, Christmas trees should be put up at the beginning of Advent, which begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas.

This year, Advent begins on Sunday November 27.
