SCOTLANDS largest electronic music event brand has announced it will be going cashless with Event Genius.
The deal with Event Genius sees all five of the brand’s UK events going cashless, this includes four summer events with a 5000 capacity.
Events include top global techno artists such as Patrick Topping, Floorplan, Adam Beyer and Ben Klock.
Those who attend the events will benefit from the Covid secure payments before, during and after their visits.
The Terminal V Halloween festival will also be using egPay cashless systems and will run over two days from October 30 to 31 with a 40,000 capacity.
Ticketholders will be able to create an online account to pre-purchase credits, replacing cash across all festivals.
The credits purchased will be loaded onto an RFID enabled wristband upon arrival which can be used to pay for food and drink.
The bands can be topped up on-site at COVID-secure self-service top-up kiosks and unspent credits can be reclaimed once the event has finished.
Going cashless will reduce fan to staff contact point and speed up transactions by nearly 80 per cent – reducing waiting times.
Reshad Hossenally, Event Genius founder and Festicket CSO, said: “egPay offers a win-win scenario for Terminal V’s fans and organisers. Without having to worry about carrying money or wasting time waiting in line to be served, Terminal V attendees can enjoy more of the events while the Terminal V team can expect a reduction in cash handling, fan to staff contact points and potential virus transmission, as well as a significant boost to their revenues.”
“This will also be our first egPay roll out in Scotland, so we’re extra excited to meet the team, get onsite and help deliver some great events.”
