A SCOTS bar has launched a patriotic Saltire inspired cocktail for the The UEFA European Football Championship.
Kilted Kangaroo in Stirling launched the mouth-watering, blue, Martini-style cocktail yesterday ahead of the nation’s first game.
The cocktail comprises Blue Curacao liqueur, Absolut Citron Vodka and pineapple juice to create the light blue beverage.
The Scots themed cocktail has a Saltire crafted into the foam of the drink and is priced at £7 each.
Unfortunately Scotland lost their first game of the tournament conceding two goals from Czech Republic but fans remain hopeful for the big game against England on Friday.
Speaking today Lauren Burke, manager at the Australian themed bar and restaurant, said: “They’ve flown out the door since we put them online!”
They shared pictures of the drink on their Facebook page captioned: “Saltire cocktail celebrates Scotland’s first game in the Euros with one of our special cocktails – £7 all day today. We’re ready for it at KK Stirling.”
The Scots themed tipple was a massive hit with social media users with hundreds liking the post and tagging their friends.
John Howitt said: “Great to see it decked out there in Scotland flags. Come on Scotland.”
Erin Laurenson said: “Love this!”
The bar recently reminded customers to be safe as a number of Stirling bars including Tingle, BrewDog and Nicky Tams had to close due to Covid-19 cases.
They said: “G’day Roo Fans. Following the news today of a breakout in one of the other city centre bars, please if you were there, go and get a test to keep everyone safe and a speedy recovery to those involved.
“When you do come to us please ensure you’re sticking to social distancing, washing and sanitising hands and wearing your masks when moving around.”
