Cops issue fine to driver who spray painted their rear lights matte black

POLICE have handed out a fixed penalty ticket to a driver who had spray painted his rear lights black – making them invisible in the night to drivers.

Cops from Northern Ireland’s Road Policing unit pulled over the dopey Corsa driver yesterday in Belfast after spotting the black painted lights.

Images taken by police on the scene show how the matte black paint is actually given off as a reflection as opposed to letting light travel through the glass.

The officer who took the picture can even be seen in the reflection of the blacked out rear light.

Officers issued a fine to the driver after they spotted the dodgy paint job and posted pictures of their findings onto Facebook.
