A YOUNG Scot has hilariously exposed a failed catfish as the worst fake account he’s ever seen.
The inept fraudster asked Callum Simpson: “I take care of my cat and dog. Do you like sex?”
Callum, 22, from Fife, was contacted on Facebook Messenger by “Brooke Woods” but instantly realised it was a scam.
Brooke, who claimed to be from Liverpool, wrote: “Hello how are you?”
Callum asked: “Hi, do I know you?.
Brooke replied: “I’m fine. Well….We don’t know each other, I just wanted to make new friends that’s all. Okay?
Callum responded: “Alright mate good try.”
After Brooke asked where he was from, Callum first said “Not Liverpool” before letting on he was from Scotland.
Brooke wrote: “I live in Liverpool. What do you do in your free time?”
Callum decided to have some fun, employing some very rude slang. He claimed: “I’m a dolphin shaver.”
Brooke, undeterred, wrote: “I work at Shell. What do you like to do in your free time?”
“Shave dolphins,” replied Callum.
Brooke then decided it was time to move in for the kill, writing: “Uh, I go out with friends, take care of my cat and my dog. Do you like sex?”
Callum replied: “Here mate this is the worst account I’ve ever seen.”
The post also racked up more than 200 comments from Twitter users who found the conversation hilarious.
Rory Currin said: “I love how he answers questions you didn’t even ask.”
Jokingly @jamesknowles188 commented: “Bet he still managed to con you out of a tenner” to which Callum replied: “Was only a fiver.”
Chris Morris said: “I was done at dolphin shaver.”
Speaking today, Callum explained how this wasn’t the first rogue message he has received.
He said: “Yeah I get a few and I’ll be honest, it doesn’t bother me. I just find it hilarious.”
I’m pretty wise to it to be fair and I know the general lingo if you want to put it that way.
“If someone is genuinely trying to like chat you up and you can spot a fake account a mile off these days.
“I just take it as it comes, just a laugh to me.”
