EDINBURGH Trams have released a charity children’s book called “Tilly the Tram’s Noisy Birthday” and are asking children to help them spot characters as part of their fifth birthday celebrations.
The book was written and illustrated by the staff of Edinburgh Tram and an exclusive number of books went on sale on 14 May on the company’s website.
£3 from each book sold will be donated to Edinburgh Trams’ charity of the year, The Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity.
The book has also been created to help children keep safe, helping them to understand what sounds to listen out for when they are exploring the city.
Amy Witherspoon, Assistant Marketing Manager, Edinburgh Trams said: “We can’t celebrate our birthday properly without Tilly, Pippa, Freddy, Travis, Bonnie and Bobby.
“We’re sure they can’t have gone far, but we need our friends to look out for them on our trams and let us know when you spot them.”
Stickers of each of the characters can be found across the Edinburgh Trams fleet and the tramway is asking little readers to spot; Tilly the Tram, Pippa the Plane, Freddy the Fire Engine, Travis the Train, Bonnie the Bus and Bobby the Bike on board.
Goodie bags can be won for the best photos and videos tweeted with the hashtag #tramiversary.
