ANDY Murray has taken a hilarious dig at his mum by joking that if he were gay he would date Feliciano Lopez.
Judy Murray caused her tennis star son numerous toe-curling moments when she dubbed the Spanish star “Deliciano” in a flirty twitter exchange.
So when Andy was asked which tennis player he would date if he was gay, he quipped: “Probably Feliciano Lopez. He’s beautiful and I could teach him about football.”
In 2011, Judy Murray wrote about the Spaniard’s biceps in a series of gushing tweets that made her son cringe.
And her crush appears to still be going strong, as in March this year she shared Lopez’s cover of Vanity Fair on Twitter with the caption: “I have never been a fan of wet T shirts. Until now.”
The response was one of many hilarious responses from Murray as he answered questions from fans on his Instagram yesterday.
Weighing in on the Yanny and Laurel debate, where people hear different names from the same audio clip, Murray put himself firmly in the Yanny camp.
He wrote: “If you think it was Laurel you need to go get yourself checked ASAP.”
The 31-year-old revealed that his secret talent is that he is a “brilliant singer”, that he brushes his teeth with warm water and that he prefers being called Andrew because it “means I’ve been naughty”.
When one fan asked if he ever fancied styling his hair, Murray shared a photograph of himself with large curly locks and wrote: “What are you talking about?”
Murray even took a pop at the former Prime Minister when asked if he was going to do a collaboration with Peppa Pig.
Alluding to Piggate, where Cameron is said to have put his “private part” in a dead pig’s mouth at Oxford University, Murray wrote: “I heard they were collaborating with David Cameron.”
He also mocked Theresa May, saying that the naughtiest thing he had done as a kid was: “I once ran through a wheat field. It was mental.”
The Scot even shared a selfie of himself with a small yellow rubber duck, that he travels with every week. He did not divulge the duck’s name, but revealed it was a “her”.
The tennis pro avoided giving away his pre-match preparations, as when one fan asked what the last thing he did before a match was, he replied: “You don’t want to know.”
Murray also joked that his record is fitting eight pieces of Lego up his bottom.
The three-time Grand Slam winner is currently ranked 375th in the world and is continuing his recovery after an injury.
Murray has already pulled out of the Washington Open and Rogers Cup to prevent a relapse.
On Saturday Murray played until 3.01am against Alex de Minaur in Washington in the quarter-final of the Citi Open.
The Scot then pulled out of the competition, citing fatigue.
