HIBERNIAN are set to field John McGinn against NSI Runavik despite ongoing interest from Celtic – however, striker Simon Murray is closing in on a shock £150,000 switch to South African side Bidwest Wits.
The capital club have rejected two bids from the Hoops for McGinn, with the most recent offer totalling £1.75m.
It is understood Hibs are seeking closer to £4m, despite the fact his contract expires next summer. Celtic are expected to launch a third swoop for the Scotland internationalist, while suitors south of the border are weighing up their options.
Nevertheless, McGinn – who sat out the first leg six days ago with a thigh strain – was part of the group that touched down in the Faroe Islands last night and is fit to play.
Meanwhile, Murray was left at home as he nears a move away from the club.
The 26-year-old is understood to be on the cusp of finalising his move to ABSA Premiership side Bidwest.
Murray joined the capital club from Dundee United on a two-year deal last summer and, despite scoring 14 goals in his first 28 outings, was loaned out to Dundee for the remainder of last season in January.
Paul Hanlon was also omitted from the Hibs squad as he nurses a slight muscle strain.
