A MODERN twist on our collective history, Forget-Me-Nots will be shown by Rokkur Friggar in collaboration with Army at Summerhall at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Set during the height of the British occupation of Iceland during the Second World War, central characters and lifelong friends, Siggi and Gréta, find themselves falling for the same British soldier, Thomas.
Siggi and Thomas’ relationship is founded in a time of uncertainty, and when homosexual relations remained a highly taboo topic.
Audiences can hope to learn about the British occupation of Iceland whilst following the love story of the all-queer cast.
The show, written by Anna Iris, has been backed by Erasmus+ and has already premiered in Iceland and London, before becoming part of the Fringe.
