HEARTS hope to complete the signing of former Crawley Town midfielder Jordan Roberts.
The 24-year-old is available on a free transfer after leaving the Red Devils last month.
Roberts visited Edinburgh on Thursday and was given a tour of Tynecastle and the club’s training base at Oriam before returning south of the border to weigh up his options.
It is understood he has other offers from suitors in England following a hugely impressive campaign in SkyBet League Two, with Bolton Wanderers thought to be among his admirers.
A pacy wide player, he bagged seven goals in 36 appearances despite an underwhelming Crawley side, managed by former Liverpool and Leeds star Harry Kewell, finishing 14th.
Roberts, who has also turned out for Aldershot Town, has plied his trade in Scotland previously, spending an ill-fated 2015/16 campaign with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
A groin injury sustained in his first outing for the Highlanders in a Europa League tie against Astra Giurgiu saw him sidelined for six months and he departed the club after one season to join Crawley, having made just 13 appearances for the Caley Jags.
Meanwhile, former Hamilton favourite Ali Crawford trained with Hearts on Thursday as he attempts to win a deal.
