A KILMARNOCK player has shared a video of the amazing reception he received after stepping off a plane in Congo.
Midfielder Aaron Tshibola can wander most of the streets of Scotland homeland without being recognised.
But the hilarious clip he posted online shows a crowd of football fans at an airport in Congo wearing T-shirts emblazoned with an image of him in action for Killie.
Tshibola was born in England and previously played for the English youth team but recently decided, based on family ancestry, to sign up for Congo.
He is set to win his first international cap, against Tanzania, on Tuesday after being called up to the national squad last week.
The 14-second clip, posted by the player on his Instagram, shows him being mobbed by an adoring public.
A large crowd has assembled, most wearing T-shirts printed with images of the player wearing the famous blue and white stripes of Killie.
They dance and chant excitedly as he films the welcome party. There is also a large banner but the writing cannot be made out.
Kilmarnock fan Euan Grant shared the video on Twitter and captioned it with two crying with laughter emojis and two blue hearts, also tagging the player.
A Congolese football account also shared it and added a love heart and praying hands.
The former England youth international signed on loan from the English Championship’s Aston Villa in January and has joined at a good time.
