FORMER RANGERS star Nacho Novo has revealed his all-time favourite character in the hit tv series Scot Squad in a funny video.
The comical clip was posted by leading man Jordan Young who plays PC Jack McLaren in the spoof police show.
Uploaded earlier this week after the pair met while playing five-a-side football, the seven second clip shows Novo announcing Young’s character as his favourite.
The popular BBC Scotland which is billed as a spoof police documentary was orignally released in 2014 and returned to TV screens last night.
The short video begins with the camera facing Novo on the damp evening, with the 38 year-old Spaniard saying to the camera: “PC Jack McLaren is the best.”
Young, 37, then turns the camera around to himself and jokingly says: “I didn’t even tell him to say that” as the footballing ace bursts into laughter.
The tweet then triggered another star of the series, Scottish professional wrestler actor Grado – who plays PC Hugh McKirdie – to reply after series creator Joe Hullait tagged him in the post.
Joe Hullait wrote: “I think @gradowrestling will be fuming.”
With Young cheekily replying: “Grado who?”
Before Grado replied, boasting: “A played up front wae Nacho in Kilwinning yesterday a win.”
With Young writing back: “I played fives wi him tonight and a video saying I’m the best…I think you’ll find I win hands down.”
Novo played with the Glasgow outfit for six years between 2004 and 2010 where he scored the winning goal in the 2009 Scottish Cup Final.
Scot Squad returned to tv screens on BBC One Scotland for a fourth season last night with the newest addition to the show Julie Wilson Nimmo.
