THE moment Star Wars legend Mark Hamill stuns fans of the movie by suddenly appearing at a Disneyland ride has been captured on video.
Fans are literally open-jawed as the 66-year-old actor, who plays the main character Luke Skywalker, walked on to a stage at Disneyland, Anaheim, California, on Tuesday.
Posting the hilarious video online, Hamill wrote: “It took me long enough- but my childhood dream of working Disneyland finally came true!”
The short clip shows the actor walking on board the ride as fans can be heard gasping as they realise their being joined by the blockbuster star.
Hamill’s video has gone viral since being uploaded, with nearly 3,000 retweets and 11,000 likes.
At the start of the clip a Star Tours employee is seen reading from his script, but is clearly aware of the surprise, saying: “Actually, you know what, the captain did mention something about a special passenger.”
The tour guide continues: “Oh, and the Force is strong with this one. So let me go out and…”
As the guide turns around to look for the “passenger” Hamill arrives through the door and says: “Hello everyone!”
The crowd begin to cheer and even scream as the movie the icon steps inside the ride and announces: “Wait a minute, there’s no Star Wars fans here, right?”
Members of the crowd can be seen pulling out their phones and start to film Hamill as others can be seen in complete shock.
This isn’t the first time Hamill has surprised devoted fans of the sci-fi movie franchise. Earlier this year he took part in a Star Wars Force for Change charity event, recreating some of his favorite Luke Skywalker moments with fans.
The latest film in the series – Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi – will be released in UK cinemas on December 14, 2017.
