Diner trolled after posting pic showing “Duncan Bannatyne” in same eaterie

A TWITTER user has been ridiculed after posting a picture claiming to show Duncan Bannatyne eating in the same restaurant as her.

The diner, known only as Cass, tweeted an image of an older, dark-haired man last night (TUE) writing: “When Duncan Bannatyne joins you for dinner”.

But the former Dragons’ Den star quickly burst her bubble by re-tweeting the sly photo writing: “Hah not me”.

Dozens of Bannatyne fans then began ridiculing Cass on the badly judged doppelganger telling her she “should have went to Specsavers”.

Others pointed out that the only person who looked like a celebrity was in fact her dining companion who bears a resemblance to Peter Andre.

Cheryl Smith wrote: “Looks nothing like Duncan!”

Ross Beveridge said: “When Peter Andre joins @DuncanBannatyne for dinner.”

Ian Davies wrote: “Should have gone to Specsavers.”

And Colm Heneghan said: “That’s embarrassing.”

After being corrected Cass later admitted her poor judgement but was happy just to have received a tweet from “sexy” Bannatyne himself.

She wrote: “Duncan has verified this was in fact not him.

“Duncan Bannatyne has just tweeted me, perhaps sitting on his sofa .. I am fangirling he is a total sexy.”
