Irn Bru(ce) – Aussie biker pays tribute to Scotland’s national soft drink

AN Australian biker has been photographed sporting a very Scottish number plate.

The mystery man’s bike has the registration plate “IRN BRU” on an orange background.

Photographed, appropriately enough in Perth, the capital of Western Australia, the picture was posted by Reddit user FensterLudwig, with the caption: “I think one of your fellow countrymen is lost?”

FensterLudwig – real name Ben Latham – said today: “I was in an Uber and quickly took the shot. I would’ve had no idea what it meant if I hadn’t lived in London and visited Edinburgh. Never seen the number plate around the city though or any Irn Bru.”

Commenting on the photo, other Reddit users have cracked jokes over the photo.

ImthedevilAMA wrote: “Probably thought it was Perth, Scotland.”

number4ty7 responded: “So. Did he take the high road or the low road?”

stephjuan commented: “Probably just typed Perth into his Sat nav”

hatgirl2 said: “He is going the scenic route, he’s not lost, never!”

BesottedScot quipped: “A Scotsman is never lost, we just sometimes don’t know where we are.”

Irn Bru was manufactured down under in Perth until 2009 but is now imported from the UK.
