SCOTLAND internationalist Liam Kelly has been reported to the English Football Association after Plymouth Argyle accused him of “assaulting” a ballboy.
Kelly, who is currently captain of Leyton Orient, is alleged to have shoved the youngster in front of the Barn Park End of Home Park in the second half of a tempestuous League Two clash between the sides.
Orient emerged 3-2 winners from the encounter on Tuesday night, however Kelly – a League Cup winner during his three-and-a-half years as a first-team regular with Kilmarnock – could face ramifications for the incident.
The Pilgrims yesterday released a statement which read: “During Tuesday night’s match against Leyton Orient one of our ballboys was shoved to the ground by Orient captain Liam Kelly.
“We have reviewed videos of the incident and we regard any physical or oral assault against our ballboys, or any representative of Argyle, to be utterly unacceptable.
“We have reported the incident to the FA for them to take the appropriate action.”
