Alloa boss Jack Ross has completed a double transfer swoop after snapping up Jon Robertson and Jamie Longworth.
Former St Mirren midfielder Robertson starred for Stenhousemuir last term, making 37 appearances for the Ochilview outfit, and previously captained Cowdenbeath to the League 1 title in 2012.
Longworth, who boasts 74 goals in his last five campaigns with Queen’s Park and Stranraer, will spearhead the Wasps attack next season after arriving from Stair Park
Alloa were the lowest scorers in Scottish league football last season and Ross is hopeful the arrival of a proven marksman in Longworth will remedy those issues.
Ross has already signed former Airdrie goalkeeper Neil Parry and winger Jordan Kirkpatrick ahead of next term as he eyes a return to the Championship at the first time of asking.
