Former Rangers and Hearts defender Marius Zaliukas has returned to Lithuania to sign for Zalgiris Vilnius.
The 32-year-old had been without a club since being released at Ibrox last summer after making 22 appearances in a solitary campaign at Rangers.
But the centre-half has returned to his homeland nearly ten years after leaving FBK Kaunas for Hearts.
Zaliukas said: “After nine years aboard I’m a little bit exhausted and I don’t want to torture myself because I know that I will be happy in Lithuania.
“I got offers from foreign clubs, there were some from England and some further afield.
“My main goal is just to get back playing football.”
