Alloa Athletic are to sign former Aberdeen striker Mitch Megginson for the rest of the season.
The 23-year-old spent the first half of the campaign at Raith Rovers but has cut short the 12-month deal he signed last summer.
The Scotland under-19 cap has made 22 appearances for the Kirkcaldy club but only seven have come from the start, and he has opted to move on in search of more regular game-time.
Wasps boss Jack Ross is a familiar face for Megginson following their time together at Dumbarton, where Ross was assistant-manager and the attacker spent two seasons after leaving Aberdeen in 2013.
Megginson also spent time on loan at Alloa in season 2012-13 and Ross is thrilled to have enticed the versatile marksman to join the Championship side’s battle against relegation.
He said: “I worked with Mitch for a season at Dumbarton, so I know him well. I’ve got a lot of time for him as a player and as a young man.
“I’m very pleased we could entice him to come for the rest of the season and we can now give him the platform to play more regularly than he has been.”
