THE Gym Group’s newest location in the Scots capital is expected to open soon after a long wait.
The gym in Meadowbank shopping park put up tongue-in-cheek posters to advertise their impending opening following a prolonged wait.
The posters were seen yesterday leaving locals tickled with their witty design and wording.
Far from presenting an actual opening date, the posters instead read: “Coming soon, opening Julember 2037.”
The joke posters left locals who have waited a long time for the gym to open tickled, and whilst no official opening date has been announced, The Gym Group’s website suggests it will be soon.
Images of the posters were shared to social media yesterday with the caption: “Meadowbank Gym Group opening date announced.”
The post has received over 125 likes and more than a dozen comments from locals.
One user wrote: “Well played, I hate you.”
Another replied: “I’ll put it straight in my diary.”
A third said: “They will be a bit behind with their equipment.”
Another commented: “Oh exciting. Feels like I have been waiting for an opening date forever, must be since 2017 at least.”
A fifth added: “And where can one acquire a 2037 diary just now?”
