Good Omens actors spotted filming new scenes in Edinburgh

GOOD Omens actors David Tennant and Michael Sheen have been spotted filming new scenes for the show’s finale in Edinburgh.

The pair of actors have been working on the final entry in the series in recent weeks, with the planned third season of the show being reduced to a single 90-minute episode following multiple sexual assault allegations against its creator, Neil Gaiman

Tennant, who plays the demon Crowley, was spotted alongside Sheen, who plays angel Aziraphale, on set yesterday by an avid fan hoping to catch a glimpse.

Tennant, 53, was seen walking into a bookshop on Hope Park Crescent in the Newington area of the Scottish capital.

Snaps show the actor accompanied by an umbrella-wielding assistant, who kept the rain off him as he walked in and out of the shop.

Tennant, from Bathgate, West Lothian, was filmed repeating his entrance as crews presumedly tried to capture the perfect shot.

Derek Jacobi, who plays God’s spokesperson, Metatron, was also spotted filming scenes alongside Sheen and Tenant in Auld Reekie.

A crowd of pedestrians were reportedly gathered to watch as scenes from the upcoming finale were captured.

Camera and production crews set up nearby in large black tents with camera rigs and computers as they filmed the scene.

Fans of Good Omens were excited by the sighting and began theorising about why Tennant’s character was visiting a bookshop.

The show has filmed multiple scenes in Edinburgh with production crews and actors being spotted more than once on the streets of the capital.

Crews also film scenes in London and across Scotland with a large majority of season one shot in the British capital.

A fan account reshared the images of Tennant in Edinburgh on social media yesterday, where their post garnered over 6,000 likes and more than 165 comments from fans of the show.

One fan said: “So, how do I get a job as David Tennant’s umbrella holder?”

Another added: “Permission to freak out?”

A third wrote: “I’m assuming David is being filmed from inside coming into the shop given the crew member with the umbrella standing outside.”
