AURORA Energy Services Ltd has announced the appointment of Katie Jordan to its management team as Chief Commercial Officer.
Katie is said to be highly experienced in subcontract and client contract management. Having joined the company from TechnipFMC.
At TechnipFMC, she was a member of the UK leadership team and the supply chain manager.

Before working in supply chain management, Katie was the contracts lead on significant UK North Sea, Mediterranean, and North American EPIC projects. She also held senior contract and tendering roles at Bibby Offshore.
Doug Duguid, CEO of Aurora, said: “Katie brings a great deal of operational experience in the oil and gas sector, which will be an important asset as we continue to grow our business in domestic and international markets.
“As we operate in a number of different sectors and end markets, it is important to manage contractual and commercial risk, and Katie’s lengthy experience in leading large-scale and complex contracting structures will be invaluable.”
Speaking on her appointment, Katie Jordan said, “I am delighted to join Aurora, which is leading the charge on how energy sector companies can bridge the transition from traditional oil and gas-focused work into multi-faceted renewables projects.
“My role will be contract focussed, providing commercial oversight from supply chain through to the end-clients and ensuring Aurora achieves best position while mitigating risk.
“I was aware of Doug and Michael Buchan’s previous business ventures and am excited to be joining a relatively new enterprise which is hugely ambitious and focused on international growth.”
The Scottish National Investment Bank has also supported Aurora with £20 million in funding to develop regional training hubs and workshop facilities, which will be vital to the green energy supply chain.
