Edinburgh locals share their thoughts on which shops in the capital offer the worst customer service

EDINBURGH locals have shared their opinions on which shops in the capital offer the worst customer service.

The debate arose after one social media user asked yesterday for residents’ opinions on the worst Auld Reekie has to offer.

Hoping to bizarrely embark on a pub crawl style tour around the shops and businesses suggested, the local wasn’t left disappointed.

With over 200 comments from eager Edinburgh natives, the shops most often suggested included Avalanche Records, Backbeat Records, Deadhead Comics and The Whisky Trail.

Many shared experiences of being told they aren’t allowed to browse in a very rue manner by the owners of both Avalanche Records and Backbeat Records.

This was chalked up to an issue with space in the shops, however, with many saying the owners were nice if you asked them for what you wanted.

A number of newsagents also ended up on the list with News Plus taking the top spot for most mentions.

Several post offices across the city were included on the list with the main complaints being laziness.

The post received a huge amount of attention from locals with hundreds wanting to chime in.

In total there were over 120 likes and more than 210 comments on the post with everyone offering some sort of opinion on the capital’s customer service.

The general consensus was that the four shops suggested by the local were the worst, with most agreeing.

The record shops were cut a bit of slack, but many people claim to have experienced the owner of Avalanche Records shouting at other staff members.
