A PET supply shop’s delivery vehicle has caused a stir over the weekend with its confusing branding leading people to think it’s a spin-off of an adult entertainment company.
The taxi style vehicle belongs to Auld Reekie Raw, a pet supply shop based in Edinburgh, with branding matching the shop’s name plastered across the white vehicle.
The style of the branding left locals and social media users in stitches though as they noted the unfortunate suggestive nature of the branding.
The writing, in two colours, reads “Auld Reekie Raw” with Auld Reekie being written in in a green font and Raw being written in black.
With the appearance of the branding and the style of the vehicle, locals were quick to point out the similarities between the vehicles branding and that of an adult entertainment company.
The name “Auld Reekie Raw” left some to suggest the vehicle was a Scottish spin-off of famous pornographic channel Fake Taxi.
The vehicle caused quite a stir on social media after an image of it was shared with locals last Friday with the caption: “Auld Reekie Raw. Is this Edinburgh’s version of ‘Fake Taxi’?”
It has since received over 40 likes and more than a dozen comments from locals having a laugh at the branding.
One user joked: “It’s a pet supply shop. Probably not the sort of doggy style you were expecting, sorry.”
Another replied: “Quick Google search and apparently, it’s a raw dog food store? But it could easily branch out in the future, I think. Raw meat for your dog, roast beef for the humans.”
A third said: “Hoped it would be wrestling.”
Another commented: “Permanently online folk that associate the word ‘raw’ with porn.”
A fifth added: “Used to do photography myself so raw was for the best format for photos.”
