A NEW face has joined as a partner at a Scottish solicitor’s real estate team, based in its Edinburgh office.
John Dunlop is a new partner at BTO, which comes after the firm’s announcement last month of Paul Greenhill’s promotion to partner in Glasgow.
Three new real estate solicitors have also recently been recruited across BTO’s Glasgow and Edinburgh offices.
John has previous extensive experience in representing property developers, investors, commercial landlords and tenants.
Grant Hunter, managing partner of BTO, commented: “John’s pragmatic and commercially focused approach to property law will be a great fit with BTO’s values.
“John will be an invaluable asset to our real estate team and to the firm as a whole. We’re very pleased to have him on board.”
John’s track record includes advising on high-profile property transactions and supporting clients across a wide range of sectors.
His recent experience includes the disposal of a multi-let retail and industrial park and it also spans acquisitions and strategic property portfolio management.
Commenting on John’s arrival, Caroline Carr, BTO’s chair, said: “John’s appointment reflects our ongoing commitment to driving sustainable growth across the firm.
“As part of our broader strategy, his arrival will further enhance the depth of expertise within our real estate team, supporting both our clients and the firm’s ambitious future plans.”
John Dunlop added: “I’m excited to be joining BTO at such a dynamic time for the real estate team.
“The firm has an excellent reputation for delivering practical, client-focused advice, and I look forward to contributing to its continued growth by helping clients achieve their goals in an ever-changing market.”
